This site is a terrific resource for graphic novel reviews for kids, teens, and adults. A great source for collection development ideas.
Overdue Media - Unshelved Comic *Recommended
Site of the famous Unshelved Comic strip about life in a public library.
Weblog for librarian Jessamyn West where useful and interesting topics related to librarians are posted. Jessamyn West is the co-editor of the book Revolting Librarians Redux.
A weblog by Steve M Cohen dedicated to resources for keeping current and professional development. The site has conference information , buyers guides, and other useful resources for librarians from Information Today Inc.
American Library Association is the professional organization for librarians. Their website contains a massive amount of information including sections professional development, books selections lists, and organizational events.
A refereed index of internet sites by librarians for librarians.
Young Adult Library Services Association
A division of ALA that focuses on young adults. The section on book lists and awards are very useful in collection development. Book lists included are Best Books for Young Adults, Great Graphic Novels for Teens, and Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.
Lazy Reader's Book Club *Recommended
Excellent website dedicated to reviews of books that are short in length, books reviewed are for adults, young adults, and children.
Website for video librarian, a resource for collection development with reviews on videos/dvds
A fun filled blog by Erica Olsen with reviews and fun filled tidbits on the trials and tribulations of librarianship.
